Pastor Tim’s Message
From broken streets to restored lives—help us make room for more children, families, and missionaries to encounter Christ.
Dear Friend,
What began as a step of faith in a broken neighborhood has become a living testimony of God’s promises. Through Street Reach Bible Clubs and Brinkley Heights Urban Academy, God has allowed us to share the hope of Jesus Christ with children and families who urgently need Him.
Now, we believe He is calling us to reach more children, serve more families, and mobilize more missionaries in our community.
Another Miracle Is Before Us
Years ago, after 3-year-old Jessica was killed in gang-related violence, we prayed and fasted, asking God what to do. His direction was clear: “Defend the weak and the fatherless… Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 82:3–4. Because of Street Reach Bible Clubs, we knew children were living in drug houses and we knew where the drug houses were. God was telling us to “Go get them” but we were already doing everything we knew to do. How could we “Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
God led us to begin a mission school for children like Jessica—a Christian school, but not only for Christian kids. More than 20 years later, hundreds of urban children have experienced the grace and love of Jesus Christ through this ministry.
Today, God opened the door for us to purchase adjacent property beside our campus, creating the opportunity to build a missionary housing facility and the Street Reach Missions Mobilization Center.
The missionary housing facility, “The Baxter,” will provide immediate space for growing mission teams, allow us to welcome teams year-round, make room for the school to add classes for more Bible Club children and will become the high school when Street Reach moves into the Missions Mobilization Center.
Once completed, the Missions Mobilization Center will double our missionary housing capacity from 250 to 500 missionaries, helping hundreds more children hear the gospel, experience Christ’s love, and connect to ongoing ministry through Bible clubs, school, discipleship, and family outreach.
The fruit is already visible. Former Bible Club children are now teachers, missionaries, and leaders. Brinkley Heights Urban Academy serves more than 170 students, and Street Reach hosts more mission teams than ever before.
Our Response to His Call
We believe the Lord is telling us to “Go get them” – again. If it is His will, we are asking God to provide the resources needed to build The Baxter Missionary Housing and Street Reach Missions Mobilization Center and expand the reach of this ministry: “Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins… you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.” Isaiah 58:12
Your gift will help create space to welcome more mission teams, reach more children, strengthen more families, and raise up a new generation to serve God and our community.
